Levia features
One workspace for leave, attendance, payroll and the employee record. Modules share the same data: whatever is entered once is never entered again.
What Levia does
Each module stands on its own, and makes more sense with the others: approved leave drops out of the attendance count, and attendance feeds the payslip calculation.
Leave and absence
Employees file their request, their manager approves, and balances keep themselves.
- Editable leave types · paid or not, deducted from the balance or not, annual quota, colour.
- Accrued, taken, pending and carried over from last year, pro-rated to the hire date.
- Half-days, medical certificates behind a protected route, national public holidays imported.
Time and attendance
Clock in from a browser, from a phone with its position, by QR code at the entrance, or from your existing terminals.
- In, out, break and meal · with a guard that refuses impossible sequences.
- QR code at the entrance · a code renewed constantly on a screen, or a printed poster backed by a blocking zone.
- A photo at clock-in and clock-out, if you turn it on · proof of presence looked at by a person, deleted automatically after the period you set.
- Optional face verification, for the employees who consent to it · the match runs on their own phone, no image is sent to any recognition service, and the result never prevents a clock-in.
- ZKTeco, Suprema, Hikvision, Anviz and Dahua terminals, or a punch file import.
- Weekly schedules, worksites with advisory or blocking zones, an anomalies screen.
Multi-country payroll
One calculation engine per country, with configurable and time-stamped rates and brackets.
- Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, France and Mauritius, each with its own contributions and tax.
- Every rate carries a validity start date · an old payslip recomputes with the rules of its own period.
- Whoever computes does not approve · approving a run requires a recent authentication proof.
Expense claims
Employees enter the expense and attach the receipt; once approved, reimbursement goes out with payroll.
- Categories defined by HR · each one decides which fields it asks for, instead of one form for everything.
- The receipt can be read automatically to prefill the line, and stays editable by hand.
- Approval route then payroll pickup · the expense is not re-entered into a second tool.
Employee documents
HR decides which papers are expected at hiring, and the file fills up as they arrive.
- Contract, ID, bank details, diploma: the list of mandatory papers is set per organisation, from a country template.
- An item can carry an end-of-validity date · the HR screen shows those nearing their deadline and those past it.
- Two visibility levels · a medical document does not leave the circle that has to handle it.
HR requests
Employment certificate, salary advance, remote work: everyday requests follow a written route.
- The route is set per request type · HR alone, the manager alone, or the manager then HR.
- Three of them produce the document directly · employer certificate, work certificate, salary certificate.
- The document comes out under the signatory you appointed, not a name hard-coded in the software.
Reviews and objectives
Dated review campaigns, and objectives whose progress can be read without a meeting.
- A cycle opens, runs and closes · everyone knows when their review is due.
- Weighted objectives and key results: progress recomputes on every update.
- Self-assessment then manager assessment · a 1 to 5 score, written strengths and areas to work on.
Recruitment
Your openings, your applications, and a public careers page in your colours.
- An opening is drafted, published, then closed · the careers page only shows published ones.
- Applications move through stages, from first screening to hire or a reasoned rejection.
- CV uploaded by the candidate, a screening questionnaire, and an interview scorecard filled by each assessor.
Training and skills
A skills framework of your own, and a training catalogue with its sessions.
- Technical, behavioural and language skills plus qualifications held, with a level per person.
- A catalogue of internal or external training, in person, remote or self-paced.
- Dated sessions with limited seats · enrolment refuses duplicates and full sessions.
Directory
Who does what, and who knows how to do what · open to everyone in the company.
- Search by name or email address, filter by department.
- Filter by skill · that is what finds the right person, not merely the right department.
- Anyone can opt out · opting out also removes them from search results, not just from the listing.
Occupational health
Medical check-ups are scheduled and tracked, without health data circulating.
- Pre-employment, periodic or return-to-work check-ups · each with its date and due date.
- A reminder goes out before the deadline, and a missed check-up flips to overdue on its own.
- The employee and their manager are told the date · the manager learns nothing else.
Conversational assistant
Ask a question in French, English or Arabic, and get an answer drawn from your own data.
- From the browser, from Slack, from Microsoft Teams or from WhatsApp.
- It reads and acts within the scope of whoever is speaking · never beyond their rights.
- Leave balance, today’s clock-in, last payslip: these become questions, not tickets.
Programming interface
Enough to feed your own tools, with keys whose scope you choose.
- Read employees, leave and payslips, page by page.
- Each key carries a limited scope, an optional expiry date, and can be revoked.
- No bank details and no national ID come out this way · encrypted fields are never exposed.
Sign-in and identity
Password, sign-in link, Google account, or your own identity provider.
- One identity provider per organisation, over OIDC · employees arrive through their email domain.
- An account created this way gets the lowest role · no automatic elevation.
- Second authentication factor available, and asked again when approving a payroll run.
What Levia does not do
Better read here than discovered in a demo. This list helps you decide as much as the previous one.
- ·On a terminal, enrolling a fingerprint or a face happens in the manufacturer’s software. Levia records the employee’s consent, then receives and consolidates the punches. Levia’s own face verification is independent of your terminals: the employee enrols from their account, and the match runs on their phone.
- ·A recruitment interview is scheduled inside Levia, but no event is placed in your Google or Outlook calendar, and no video meeting link is created for you.
- ·There is no electronic signature. An issued document carries the name of the signatory you appointed, which is not the same thing.
- ·The programming interface is read-only, and does not cover attendance. No data is written into Levia through it today.
- ·On the identity side, only the OIDC protocol is served, with one provider per organisation. SAML is not available.
- ·Levia does not create the Ramadan working pattern for you: HR sets it once, with its dates and reduced hours. The dates are computed and HR is alerted on the first day and at Eid; once the pattern exists, it applies and stops applying on its own, day by day.
The pages that go into detail
This page says what each module does. The pages below show it, with the rules and the vocabulary of the country.
Payroll, country by country
Each country has its own page: its institutions, its rates in force and its filings. Several countries can live in one workspace.
Frequently asked questions
Is it all or nothing, or can only some modules be switched on?
Modules are grouped into three subscription tiers, and you only open the one you need. Many companies start with leave and attendance, then add payroll once the data is in place. The Pricing page details what each tier contains.
Do the modules really work together?
Yes, and that is the whole point of not buying leave from one vendor and payroll from another. Approved leave leaves the attendance count and reaches the payslip calculation, which tells a paid absence from an unpaid one. An approved expense claim goes back out as a reimbursement with the month’s payroll.
Which languages does the interface come in?
French, English and Arabic, with right-to-left layout for Arabic. Notification emails follow the recipient’s language, and you can rewrite their templates yourself without going through support.
Can several countries be managed in one workspace?
Yes. Payroll is available for Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, France and Mauritius, each with its own contribution rules and its own tax, versioned over time.
Can we migrate from Excel or from our current tool?
Yes. Employees, leave balances, payroll profiles, public holidays and attendance records import from CSV or Excel files, with a line-by-line check before anything is written. Guidance happens during the free trial month.
Does our data stay retrievable?
Yes. Leave balances, payslips, attendance records and the audit log export to CSV and Excel. That is also what your accountant asks for at year end.
